1M3 of mixed concrete or screed weighs approximately 2.3 tonnes!
1M3 of mixed concrete or screed is equivalent to approximately 25 barrow fulls, depending on mix design! That's approx 0.025m3 per barrow.
Concrete pumps are commonly used in europe and can pump from 20m3 to 100m3 an hour and more...!

Are there any power cables or communication lines in the vicinity of the work area.
Is there suitable parking and set up room.
Can out riggers or stabilisers be utilised.
Will we affect road or pedestrian traffic and therefore safety.

1. Ground line pump - where the quantities required are small, typically 3m3 > 30m3 and / or access is restricted. Based on the supply of the pump and operator are rate is normally £280.00 + vat upto a maximum of 4 hours on site.
2. Boom pump - where the pump line is hydraulic extended over the work area allowing easy, direct placing of the concrete. Based on a standard 24m pump unit our rate would be £450.00 + vat up to a maximum of 6 hours on site.

All easimix pump services are directly controlled by a member of easimix staff.

Safe access to the work area.
Suitable hard standing room for the pump unit.
Any deep holes or trenches affecting access should be notified to our staff and made safe.
A small quantity of concrete will spill onto the floor area around the pump unit and there may be some waste discharge upon completion of the pour. It is important that we are able to dispose of any residual concrete from the pump on site and you should make allowances for any cleaning up etc after we have left site.
At least 72 hours notice to organise the pump and supervision.
