1M3 of mixed concrete or screed weighs approximately 2.3 tonnes!
1M3 of mixed concrete or screed is equivalent to approximately 25 barrow fulls, depending on mix design! That's approx 0.025m3 per barrow.
A typical 2 tonne dumper can carry 0.5m3 per load, depending on mix design, ground conditions and wetness (slump).
Safe access to the work area.
Any ramps, boards etc must be securely sited and fit for purpose.
Any deep holes or trenches should be notified to our staff and made safe.
We will need to happy that, where working up to a deep trench or void, that the sides are stable and able to take the weight of the dumper.
A small quantity of concrete / screed, particularly over rough ground, will spill onto the floor area. This is unavoidable and you should make allowances for cleaning up etc after we have left site.
You should accept that, where running over soft ground, the dumper will mark and damage the ground leaving wheel marks or depressions.
At least 48 hours notice to organise men and transport.
