Screed

	Screed is normally supplied as a semi dry material.
	Screed is normally has a very high cement content and therefore cures quickly and is very strong.
	Standard unmodified screed consists of sand, cement, water.
	Modified screed consists of sand, cement, water, chemical admixture to retard the cure and give longer workability and polyfibre reinforcement to help minimise cracking.
	Under floor heating applications demand modified screed.
	Screed is dropped off in a pile to be taken into the work area and laid.
	1M3 of screed is equivalent to approximately 2.3tonnes in weight.
	Screed, in its fresh state, is very susceptible to the effects of wind, rain, temperature and moisture loss

Using the easimix screed supply and lay service offers you the assurance of knowing that all elements of the work are being undertaken by one supplier giving the security of one point communication and responsibility. We are in control of screed deliveries, material handling and program to ensure the right result.

The level of service required obviously depends on the nature of your project but, typically, we offer the following as part of our supply and lay service,

	Full easimix supply including means to get the screed into position e.g. barrow service.
	All tools, straight edges etc to lay the concrete to an sr2 (+/- 5mm under a 2m straight edge) finish. All to a base prepared by you*
